Tommy Lee-5-1024x1024Lee was born Thomas Lee Bass in Athens on the 3rd of October on 1962. He was the father of David Lee Thomas Bass (American U.S. Army sergeant) and Vassiliki "Voula"Voula" Papadimitriou (Greek, Basilike Papademetriou), a contestant in the year 1957's Miss Greece beauty contest. Athena is his older sister. She is also a drummer. When Lee was approximately two years[4aged, his father moved the family back to the United States, settling in California.Lee began playing drum sticks when he turned four years old. He received his first drum kit when he reached the age of teenager. He dropped out of high school in order to pursue an interest in music beginning in the L.A. club band Suite 19. He listened to Van Halen, Led Zeppelin and Cheap Trick when he was a teenager. The main influences on his drumming include John Bonham, Tommy Aldridge, Alex Van Halen and Terry Bozzio
